Adele 'Smoking isn't destroying my voice, talking is'

Adele has insisted that her smoking habit is not the reason she suffers from laryngitis.
The singer blamed her recent vocal cord issues on excessive chatting after cancelling a ten-date US tour due to the illness.
Adele is quoted by British news paper The Sun as saying: "Smoking is not the reason I got laryngitis - it was because I was talking too much.
"I damage my voice off stage, not on stage. On stage I am fine as apparently I am technically great, but when I talk I damage my voice big time. I have got screwed into giving up smoking."
Adele added: "If I wasn't a singer I still would be smoking 25 a day. Smoking is my favourite thing to do in the world, I am gutted I have had to give up.
"But I have been tough - no patches, no gum, no hypnotism. It f**king sucks."
It was recently reported that Adele has written a new track which is being considered as a "strong contender" for the next James Bond theme tune.
