Alice Cooper 'My wife got me off alcohol'

Alice Cooper has his wife and a stunning line up of dead rock gods to thank for his seemingly everlasting success.
Alice is currently celebrating 30 years of clean living with another world tour and says he remains grateful to be alive while so many of his old pals are not.
“Almost everyone in that wild club I used to be a part of is dead; Jimi Hendrix,Jim Morrison, Keith Moon,” says Alice, 63.
“I saw what happened to them and thought, ‘I better stop waking up in the morning coughing up blood.’
“Before that I drank but I was never drunk I was just buzzing. I never missed a show or messed up a line in a movie but I was drinking all the time. When my wife realized how ill I was she took me straight to the hospital and now it’s been 30 years without a drink so I was lucky.”
