Simon Cowell is plotting another venture!
According to a report from Scotland’s Daily Record newspaper, the music mogul is in talks about bringing a humorous version of the TV talent showX Factor to London’s West End.
“Simon is excited by the idea of taking the X Factor brand on to the stage,” a source said.
“He is looking at the types of songs he would like and what sort of script is needed.
“It would be a perfect night out for X Factor fans and former stars of the show could even be involved in it.
“Simon doesn’t want a super-serious musical. He thinks if this is going to be something that works, it needs to be funny and have songs people might sing along to, but also laugh along with.
Cowell has also held discussions about the musical with music producer and composer Steve Brown.
“Steve is very excited at the prospect of working with Simon,” said the source.
“He has recently been invited into his inner circle, helping last year’s runner-up Rebecca Ferguson on her debut album. On top of that, he knows how to make songs which will get a laugh, so he could be the perfect man for the job.
“It seems like a great idea and given how much Simon enjoys making money, I’m surprised he hadn’t thought of it sooner.”
